Profile of Q. Lynn Johnson
Working hard for her clients comes naturally to attorney Q. Lynn Johnson. Hard work is something she understands, having worked full time while carrying a full course load during her undergraduate years. During a successful business career, which included owning and managing her own Information Technology Consulting firm, Lynn worked long hours to achieve her goals. This dogged determination to succeed came in handy when Lynn decided to enter law school. She originally envisioned that a degree in law would be a compliment to her experience in the business community, but soon discovered that law was her new passion.
Her business acumen certainly gives Lynn insight into the issues of bankruptcy and credit card debt and how best to advise her clients. She understands how to deal with mortgage companies and how best to protect your assets when filing for bankruptcy.
Her interest in and understanding of criminal defense evolved during an internship with a Justice of the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Writing judicial opinions for the Justice gave Lynn the opportunity to see the cases’ arguments from both the prosecution and defense sides, and how important it is for all defendants to be represented by competent, aggressive, and knowledgeable defense attorneys.
Caring about justice for all defendants is what motivates Lynn to volunteer with Legal Aid of North West Texas - Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), providing pro bono services. Even with her busy schedule, she makes time to give back to those whose means and circumstances may put them at a legal disadvantage without the volunteers’ help.
Aggressive, hard working, knowledgeable, and caring are the terms that best portray Attorney Q. Lynn Johnson. That’s what makes her such a good attorney.
